Build a Foundation for Exporting

By Lee Benson and Doug Bruhnke

Jack Welch has met Lee Benson many times and is invested in at least one of his companies. Here's why: Lee Benson knows business.

Knowing business is a very good foundation to grow globally!

And in particular, Lee not only has his hands and brain around business strategy and planning, but also quite importantly he understands execution.

We're proud to partner with Lee on Export Circles by Global Chamber to offer business leaders optimal support to grow their companies.

Last week Lee gave another strong presentation on the importance of creating a solid business foundation before going global. If you were there or you're a member of Global Chamber and would like to see the information, please let us know with an e-mail to our CEO Doug Bruhnke HERE.

Global business doesn't happen because we say it should happen, or some state agency says it's important, or even if you as a CEO says 'let's do it'. It takes a lot more.

It takes a solid business foundation within your company in all areas. Things start getting interesting in a bad way quickly when you decide to grow globally but you're not ready.

And even with a solid foundation, stuff happens. Good and bad stuff!

Some of the potential roadblocks as Lee presented last week include...

  • Culture
  • Corruption
  • Customs
  • Communication
  • Regulations
  • Logistics
  • Information

Nearly ALL companies that are or should be global are under-invested with global business. We see it over and over. It's one reason Global Chamber exists... to be part of the support for companies everywhere to grow anywhere, effectively and profitably.

Build a better business foundation, and grow globally. Reach out and let's chat soon.
