Cross Border Economic Collaboration Discussions

Global Chamber® collaborated this month with two groups of business visitors in the U.S. as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program. Read more.

By Doug Bruhnke

Economic collaboration between countries and regions is essential for world economies to grow.

And so earlier this month we hosted multiple groups of international visitors selected by the U.S. State Department's International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP).

Amidst the chaos brought into government departments in the past two years, the U.S. State Department has been brave and resistant, continuing this and other important programs. Congratulations professionals!

Global Chamber® was pleased to collaborate on these multiple events with Global Ties.

The topic for the pictured event was Global Economic Cooperation. Visitors asked about international business and trade, and enquired how regions in the U.S. are able to accomplish progress and success. From the dialogue, learnings were accomplished on both sides.

This delegation included 7 mid to senior-level government officials from Morocco, Paraguay, China, Korea, Spain, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom - and specifically Northern Ireland. It was part of their 3-week tour of the U.S.

Topics of the meeting were:

  • Regional economic conditions
  • Impact of the global economy on Arizona
  • Greater Phoenix regional development strategy
  • Trade and FDI programs
