Today Global Chamber® members from the United Kingdom and Kenya met in a "cross metro meetup" to explore business opportunities between the two countries.
The globinar was at 4:00pm in Nairobi / 1:00pm in London (8am ET / 5am PT) ... and watch for the recording if you missed it. We'll plan to supply the link here in the future.
In cross metro meetups our goal is to speak with regional business leaders in each of the two chapters to discuss progress and future opportunities. We hope and expect that besides the exposure that they gain, members around the world gain access to new opportunities as well.
Recently a trade deal was signed between the UK and Kenya, and there is now an expectation that the deal will be extended to Burundi, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan and Tanzania, according to sources in Kenya.
In the photo above, UK's international trade minister Ranil Jayawardena is shaking hands with Kenya’s cabinet secretary for trade, Betty Maina at the official signing back in December.
Today there were 6 primary presenting companies, and other attendees also shared their business and what's new.
Thank you to our Executive Directors Emmanuel Maingi (Global Chamber® Nairobi) and Katie Keith (Global Chamber® London).
