Enter and Succeed in Asian Markets

Entering Asian markets can be particularly challenging for Western companies not used to the myriad of difference in culture and business practice.

Asia Pacific holds tremendous opportunity for companies that are serious about generating new sources of revenues and actively participating in the world’s most dynamic economic region.

Entering Asian markets goes beyond securing new income, it means positioning a company for success.

Entering Asian markets is different from entering markets in other regions, and many businesses are not fully aware or confident of what, when, where, or how to best enter and succeed. Business development executives recognize the opportunities and can have a plan to go, but unique Asia markets, and lack of experienced staff, cause things to not start right, or go off track along the way.

And this is precisely where we can help. Our goal is for companies to enter Asian markets well-prepared, culturally familiarized, and with their eyes wide open. This is accomplished by guiding and working with the company every step of the way.

To succeed, decisionmakers must have working, specific knowledge of a country’s culture, geography, its infrastructure, and distribution network. In addition to knowledge of the political, legal, and economic risks. In collaboration with the company this absolutely crucial research is conducted with the purpose of having the company well-prepared to enter Asian markets.

Using tailored market research, we help each company looking to grow in Asia to identify, evaluate and select best fit markets and qualified prospects. Introductory meetings with prospective customers are then arranged on behalf of the company and its representatives. And most importantly, to make a first class, first impression coaching in cross-cultural communications and etiquette is provided.

Asia Business Etiquette

Research has found that in 90% of cases, the biggest reason why Western companies fail in Asia originated from simple, easily avoidable mistakes in manners and etiquette. There are dozens of things that can go wrong, and for instance, In North America we like to address the person by his/ her first name right away. Our belief is that by getting on a first name basis we are setting the stage for a friendly cooperative relationship.

In Asian cultures, it’s the opposite, and it can be a relationship-killing, cross-cultural mistake by missing the right names or protocol.

Avoid More Mistakes

To help companies avoid making mistakes, we offer 2-hour online course in Asia business etiquette. Courses are customized for the client company and its Asian market of interest. Companies entering Asia with little, or no experience will find these programs tremendously valuable.

For companies with more experience, we can work with you to provide tailored and customized cultural and business support.
