Global Chamber Connects Leading Companies from Argentina to Intel, US Market

By Doug Bruhnke · Global Chamber

We wrapped up a Global Chamber trade mission with 16 leaders from Argentina seeking to invest in the US.

Thank you to all the leaders on the US-side for a week of amazing meeting of discovery.

Special thanks to Jason Bagley and Angela Creedon of Intel Corp for a great presentation and opportunity to see the semicon fab in Chandler.

Thank you to Ricardo Vanella of Global Chamber Argentina for your connections and leadership that made this possible. Shown... meetings with Jeffrey Garza Walker of NAI Horizon and Emilio Gaynor of Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC).

This trade mission was particularly interested in the semiconductor market, and so in addition to Intel Corp, we were able to arrange a memorable visit to TSMC and the spectacularly large plant being built in North Phoenix. The Phoenix metro has 10's of billions of investment happening right now, and GPEC (Greater Phoenix Economic Council) shared the details with the visitors on day 4 of 5.

Other semicon meetings included a visit to the world-class facility by Arizona State University, and Matt Salmon a professional and impressive demonstration of ASU's strength in the segment - in technology development and talent.

There were also top meetings with key business leaders including Mayors of Scottsdale, Surprise and Peoria, Arizona... and support by all those cities including City of Phoenix to welcome the companies, and being the dialogue on FDI.

The business service leaders including Spencer Fane, Bank of America, Eide Bailly and many more. Special thanks to Marcos Garcia Acosta for his extraordinary support of the delegation, all throughout the week. Also special thanks to Marc Pierce of Lee & Associates who made the visit to TSMC possible. You're amazing, Marc!

One of the more fun meeting for me was that with Paul Brierley, acting Director of Arizona's Department of Agriculture, who was so helpful, to be completely inspiring - as several of the visiting companies have agricultural interests.

Thank you everyone! So many great next steps... including adding the Global Chamber chapter in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
