Edwin Pope, President & Founder of DigitalGenetix. Ed Pope is a veteran and President of DigitalGenetix with over 30 years of leadership experience. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Ed attended Sam Houston High School, St. Philip’s College, Southwest Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Following the end of his military service, Ed began his corporate career in sales. His success in sales and executive management earned him several leadership roles with companies like The Metropolitan Media, OfficeMax Corporate Services, and finally United Parcel Service.
In 2015, Ed founded DigitalGenetix. DigitalGenetix is the culmination of Ed’s 26 years of corporate experience, his passion for business and his love for technology. DigitalGenetix specializes in helping companies with their digital transformation efforts. This includes equipment acquisition, platform selections, integrations, physical infrastructure, process mapping, and compliance for a variety of different industries. DigitalGenetix currently has strategic partnerships with companies like Microsoft, Google, Cisco, IBM, Dell, Lenovo and many others.
Ed says his passion for tech came in the early 1980s when his parents purchased a Commodore Vic20 personal computer for him. Ed says from that time, he fell in love with technology and began to programming in various computer languages.
He continues to invest a tremendous amount of time speaking around the U.S. to start-ups and small business owners through the organizations like Operation Hope, the Small Business Administration (SBA), regional MSDCs, and local chambers. He believes that business ownership is one way people can discover financial independence and create generational wealth.
Ed Pope currently serves as a board member with several non-profit boards and is an avid church member. He enjoys fishing, hiking, and whenever possible, traveling with his wife Alice and kids.
