On Wednesday, October 16th, we gathered for an inspiring session of the Global Chamber Book Author Workshops with Deborah Shames - CEO, Speaker Coach and Trainer at Eloqui. It was a WOW!

Participants engaged in interactive discussions, explored various writing genres and received expert guidance to help refine their writing and speaking goals. One of the more fun discussion was how NOT to use the words 'help', 'assist' and 'try'... and to use ACTION verbs.

Deborah Shames - CEO, Speaker Coach and Trainer at Eloqui
Prior to founding Eloqui (www.eloqui.biz) with David Booth, Deborah Shames was an award-winning director of film and TV.
She founded the only female-owned production company in the San Francisco Bay Area-- Focal Point Productions, which she ran for 15 years.
Deborah has directed luminaries including Demi Moore, Wendie Malick, Rita Moreno, Danny Glover, and Angela Lansbury.
To launch three of her independent films, she formed the video distribution company Deborah Films.
Deborah coaches executives, authors, CEO’s, Olympic athletes, professionals and TV anchors. She led a prominent Calabasas business group for 15 years and was honored as “Consultant of the Year” by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal.
Deborah’s book Out Front: How Women Can Become Engaging, Memorable and Fearless Speakers(www.outfront.biz) resulted in her being awarded the “Author of Influence” by the Women of Influence National Organization.
And in September, 2024 Deborah and David released a 3-book set of speaker tips: Briefly Speaking: Prepare, Present and Communicate (www.brieflyspeaking.biz) which covers everything from storytelling and structuring presentations to managing anxiety and how to engage an audience.
