Tips from Great Global Minds

Global Chamber

At Global Chamber we're continually inspired by great minds and brilliant globalists across 500 metro areas around the world.

We've assembled some tips on global success that are further written up in an 8-page published section from the Global Chamber in In Business Magazine September 1st. See it online HERE.

Here's information from that article. Five tips from great global minds...

1) Global Mindset. We love Richard Branson because his head is in the cloud and around the world. Opportunities for Sir Richard are endless because he has the talent and enthusiasm to make business and more happen all over the globe. He's a fitting model for anyone in the global tribe... to think, to reach and to execute... daily, and around the world.

2) Global Strategy & Plan. Just jumping is fine, and then use some level of emerging or evolving strategy process to guide and prioritize your and your team's activities. Outstanding business leaders like Jack Welch and Lee Benson capture opportunities by diligent looking, vetting, analysis... and then rigorous execution.

3) Global Talent. Not everyone is equipped for global business. At some level it's the same as selling across the street, but at another level it takes more sophistication and thinking to be successful. And so selection of the right talent for your team is essential, which member Vendome Partners’ Fabien Bertault (Paris) has previously shared in our Video Room.

4) Global Sharing. A little discussed by important issue for SMBs/SMEs is that often global business experience is limited to just one or a few people within the firm. This causes mistakes because the great complexity of the global business is less understood and discussed. Share the global love... teach your team the basics and beyond, through the Global Chamber!

5) Global Execution. Think, strategize, plan, hire, share … and execute. And stick to it! It sounds easy, but just like any sport like soccer or American football... the devil's in the details within the game plan and in each play. One play - one trip - one customer - can make all the difference between a victory and defeat. Invest your time and money in great execution!

The great ones like Sir Richard make it all look easy. It's not.

But you can be more successful and make it look easy to others by being 'all in' and following these steps.
