Global Chamber® routinely organizes a Virtual League of Global Non-Profits globinar, and in December we met under the skillful guidance of Brenda Harrington, who moderated and facilitated the discussion with four outstanding global organizations.

Since 1969, CPLC has been changing lives by developing self-sufficiency and instilling empowerment in those we serve. Launched CPLC Global to engage partners in Mexico, Canada and Central America. Our focus areas are economic development, education, integrated health & human services, and housing. CPLC provides a better life through offering business and employment opportunities; ensuring everyone has the solid foundation of an education; providing hope through a pathway of recovery, restoration, and resiliency; and ensuring that a safe, secure, affordable home is available to every individual we serve. Today, we have more than 30 programs & services, approximately 1,400 employees, and 150 offices, making CPLC one of the largest community development corporations in the United States.

Thunderbird for Good provides learning experiences for non-traditional students who utilize business and management skills to fight poverty, secure peace, and improve living conditions in their communities. They are currently offering The DreamBuilder program, an online business training program available at no cost to the learner.

Water For People exists to promote the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments. The idea behind Water For People began in the early 1980s, with three people who wanted to use their expertise to build a better world.

Brenda works with organizations to improve business performance by focusing on the development of leadership and professional capabilities. As a Global Mobility and Transition Coach, she offers programs to support the success of international assignments and projects and globally dispersed teams. Brenda is a formally trained Executive Coach (Georgetown University) and certified Global Mindset Inventory facilitator (Thunderbird School of Global Management). Brenda’s professional career includes leadership positions at Mobil Oil and AT&T. She is the former Executive Vice President of a Washington, DC area property management firm.
