Scottsdale, Arizona – December 6, 2016 - Global Chamber*®**, a worldwide business-support organization that helps leaders, companies and communities achieve successful cross-border trade and investment, today announces a new partner relationship* with the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).
Through their Making Global Local (MGL) initiative, the USTDA assists US-based businesses in their global growth by establishing links between companies and foreign project sponsors, bringing private sector solutions to development challenges abroad. Global Chamber® and 25 of its US-based chapters have been accepted into this initiative, helping members gain additional special access to new opportunities. Last year, USTDA’s reverse trade missions connected nearly 700 U.S. firms to foreign decision‐makers across 69 American cities.
Doug Bruhnke, CEO and founder of Global Chamber®: “MGL is a highly effective business-to-business connecting program that lowers risk and provides tangible results. We are excited to work more closely with USTDA going forward to actively engage our members with more cross-border opportunities and help them to expand their businesses around the world.”
“We’re extremely proud that Making Global Local has grown into the Agency’s largest domestic outreach campaign,” says Ashley E. Chang, USTDA’s Director of Public Engagement. “Partnering with Global Chamber® will help us connect a greater number of businesses in more U.S. communities with USTDA’s export-promotion programs.”
