This week we hosted Rami Goldratt, CEO of Goldratt Group at the Global Chamber® headquarters inside Thunderbird School of Global Management for a private business meeting with a few members.
Rami and his father Eli are world-renowned in the art and practice of business improvement through the Theory of Constraints (TOC). TOC is a ground-breaking approach brought to the world by his father, Eli Goldratt in the iconic book "The Goal"... with over 10 million copies sold worldwide.
Like his father, Rami is also amazing!
He has taken the idea of Theory of Constraints and applied it to innovation, and the conversation was lively, engaging and inspiring! Watch for more opportunities related to that in the coming months. I've started this blog with the conversation because Rami talked about innovation in a way that reminded us how Global Chamber® is innovative, and we don't always think of it that way.

We take out steps in the global growth process. We remove limitations that we previously put up with because there wasn't a better way.
Just before I founded Global Chamber® an exporter told me the story of how he'd been to Asia 5 times, traveled for almost 10 weeks, and he was hoping to have a contract for new business soon. My head exploded, not literally of course.
Those serious about global business have felt the frustration of how slow things can move, and how alone we can feel. So in the beginning I thought if only there was a chamber of commerce that was everywhere, built for companies growing across cities and borders, that we would accelerate the connection time within that trusted network, to get to the right people sooner, and open doors faster.
That's the way it works! Members let us know who they wish to meet, and the process is accelerated because we know A LOT of people. Recently a member gave us a list of 107 targeted companies and we were able to make 20 warm introductions quite easily AND we identified another 40 companies that we know that would likely be a fit, too... and they narrowed that down to 20... total of 40.
How beautiful is it to have a warm introduction where 90% of the time there's a conversation? And it can happen virtually at the beginning because trust envelops the entire communication.
And there's advocacy, too. It's not unusual that the target in a warm introduction doesn't respond, and so we get involved to advocate for the member and for the conversation to happen.
Every day someone says to me that they're busy. We're all busy. So join and reach out for help!
It's not a weakness to ask for help, it's a strength. It doesn't take more time to ask for help, it saves time. And it saves money, too... lowering risk by creating fewer bad deals.
One of our new project leaders asked me what's so innovative about Global Chamber®? We just make connections... every organization does that, right? No! Nowhere near what we do! And our vision, mission and values are unlike any other organization in the world here.
Most leaders are still largely on their own with their network and research capabilities to grow. Most don't see the limitation because that's the way it's always been. They haven't tapped into a better way, and an improving way here at Global Chamber®. Some testimonials here.
NOW... leaders can join Global Chamber®, share who they wish to meet, and the magic begins to happen. We proactively help every member. AND there's the global tribe... our members in every city of the world... offering up opportunities to grow have impact. Read more.
Our global network is professional, knowledgeable, capable, honest and easy to work with. And so we remove significant limitations to connect and do business with new clients. That's innovation!
If you're looking to have more impact, you can't afford not to be part of the global tribe. Our vision is a world where doing business across cities as easy as doing business across the street. And it's happening.
Members... reach out today for more connections here.
Non-members... don't wait another day to experience the innovation of Global Chamber® here.
Save time and money by being part of Global Chamber®. Don't put up with the limitations of the past one more day. Be global and UNSTOPPABLE!
BTW did you know that only one of 100 companies in the US exports, and of those over 50% export to only one country, and of those over half are exporting to either Mexico or Canada? The legacy of the way we've always done things holds companies back, where less than 0.1% of companies are truly global, and that's because it's been hard. The innovation of Global Chamber® makes it easier.
Also BTW, TOC has meant so much in my life, and I've seen it work in two main projects that I led over the years. When I retired from Dupont after my international career there, I was hired to lead a $35 million dollar project to reduce the vehicle development time at General Motors using TOC. We were successful... and TOC became embedded in GM since then. That first cut of improvement was a 50% reduction in the average time it took to develop a vehicle. I then led a similar project at Johnson & Johnson that had even more significant results. TOC works! Learn more here.
