Speaker Biographies

Brenda Harrington - President and Founder of Adaptive Leadership Strategies. Brenda works with organizations to improve business performance by focusing on the development of leadership and professional capabilities. As a Global Mobility and Transition Coach, she offers programs to support the success of international assignments and projects and globally dispersed teams. Brenda is a formally trained Executive Coach (Georgetown University) and certified Global Mindset Inventory facilitator (Thunderbird School of Global Management). Brenda’s professional career includes leadership positions at Mobil Oil and AT&T. She is the former Executive Vice President of a Washington, DC area property management firm.

Desiree Perez - CEO and Founder of Desiree Perez Coaching and Consulting. Desiree specializes in executive leadership coaching, emerging leader training and corporate culture development. She has dedicated herself to helping leaders and individuals learn about their strengths, unique attributes and, ultimately, their purpose, allowing for increased productivity and sustained organizational success. She has helped executives and emerging leaders strengthen their leadership skills, navigate corporate culture and build high-performing teams. She has also guided teams through large restructuring initiatives and provided them with tools to work through the adjustment phase, ultimately guiding the organization to increased productivity and greater customer satisfaction. Born in Argentina, Desiree spent a decade living in Germany before her journey brought her to the United States. Prior to launching her firm, she was an executive in the aviation industry for 17 years. Desiree holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Master of Science in Leadership and Strategic Management. She is a certified Executive Leadership Coach.

Claudio Toyama - CEO and Founder of Toyama&Co. Claudio is committed to raising the awareness of people around the world so that they live full and fulfilled lives at work and at home. Claudio's ability to create paradigm shifts in organizations results in more thoughtful leadership, a staff of brand ambassadors and customers who feel the difference and embrace it. He is an International best-selling author and award-winning speaker and the CEO of Toyama&Co., an International leadership consultancy specializing in the small shifts that produce big results. Marco Robert - Business Investor at Manchester Capital Ventures. Marco Robert is the author of the book, The Business Intervention, to be released soon. Professionally he is internationally recognized as an Inspirational Speaker & Lecturer, Turnaround Management Consultant, Corporate Board Advisor and Venture Capitalist. His clients and peers have dubbed him: “The Business Disruptor”. Since the early 2000’s, in his function as a consultant, he has advised nearly 500 businesses all over the world, including Africa, America, Canada, Europe and Asia. With the help of the aptly named BOSS management system he created, Marco is said to be able to pin point business solutions and rescue a business faster than any one else. Over the years he has made a name for himself as the “turnaround specialist who never fails.” Every year Marco is single-handedly responsible for pumping millions of dollars of value into his clients’ businesses in the form of increased sales & profits, job creation and business valuation. Marco Robert is a true citizen of the world. For the first five years after college, he worked in Canada and in the Bahamas to gain experience and muster the confidence to start his first business. From there he moved to Guatemala in Central America where he opened two restaurants. Later, after selling his restaurants, Marco started a private equity investment company, and soon moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, enjoying a beach lifestyle while running his business. Starting in 2001, he began visiting California’s Silicon Valley on a regular basis. The charms, climate and entrepreneurial spirit of Northern California soon seduced him.
