A Look Ahead for Business Tax Planning in 2022

By Yvonne Luker · Global Chamber

We took a look ahead on business tax planning with the team at Cosentus. This globinar at Global Chamber® highlighted the changes that have occurred for tax and accounting in 2021 that businesses owners in the US need to be aware of when filing both their business and individual taxes.

We featured the knowledge and expertise of Cosentus, and you may listen to the conversation HERE.

Here are the main topics that we covered:

  • Employee Retention Credit
  • Net Operating Losses
  • Research and Development Cost
  • Business Interest Expense Limitation
  • Above the Line Charitable Contribution Deductions
  • Increased Limit for Cash Contributions
  • Required Minimum Distributions
  • Qualified Medical Expenses
  • Repayment of Deferred Social Security Tax
  • Excess Business loss

Our presenters were Emily Reynolds and William Cao of Cosentus. About Consentus, read more here.

William Cao is the Assistant Tax Director at Cosentus. William has over 10 years of tax experience working for large, multi-national publicly traded companies. William has his CPA, MBA/MSA from Suffolk University where he received high honors as an outstanding student of the year award in 2011. He is currently based in Oak Park California, and has worked with Cosentus since 2019.

Emily Reynolds has been with Cosentus for 8 ½ years and now serves as International Project Manager, helping international clients get their business situated in the U.S. and beyond. Given one word, Emily would describe herself as “virtuous", and you can see that in the way she delivers awesome client experiences every day.
