Global Chamber® Celebrates International Women’s Day with Women Leaders in Trade

Global Chamber® celebrated International Women’s Day with a special Globinar, bringing together women leaders from around the world.

Global Chamber® hosted a special edition of its Exporting, Importing and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) News Globinar on March 6–7, bringing together women leaders from around the world in recognition of International Women’s Day.

The event highlighted the important role women play in advancing global trade, leadership, and collaboration across borders.

The session welcomed participants from around the world to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping international business today. We featured 10 women speakers plus more who contributed.

Each month, Global Chamber® convenes its global community through this Exporting, Importing and FDI News Globinar, creating a space where executives, entrepreneurs, and trade professionals share insights on global commerce. This special edition placed the spotlight on women leaders who are driving international business forward.

The discussion featured a distinguished group of speakers representing different regions and industries:

  • Anne Tammel, Founder & CEO, OC CEO Collective + SoCal Women in Business

  • Aartii Neemkar, India Economic Development Association and Global Chamber Goa

Throughout the conversation, the speakers shared their perspectives on international trade, business leadership, and how women are shaping the future of global commerce. They discussed emerging opportunities in global markets, the importance of collaboration across cultures, and how leaders can build stronger international partnerships.

Participants also exchanged ideas on how businesses can be more successful in navigating global markets while addressing challenges such as market access, regulatory complexity, and evolving economic conditions.

The session was facilitated by Doug Bruhnke, Founder and CEO of Global Chamber®. A global entrepreneur and trade advocate, Doug has more than 38 years of international business experience, including expatriate assignments in Tokyo and Singapore during his time with the DuPont Company. He continues to lead Global Chamber® in connecting leaders, companies, and communities worldwide to support international growth and collaboration.

The International Women’s Day edition of the Globinar highlighted the power of global connections and the importance of diverse leadership in international trade. By bringing together voices from different regions and industries, the conversation demonstrated how shared knowledge and collaboration can help businesses identify opportunities and succeed across borders.
