José Belfort and Member Success in San José, Costa Rica

José Belfort is Executive Director of Global Chamber® San José, Costa Rica. We asked him why he decided to join us and head up the chapter in San José, And we asked him how the experience has been so far... helping members grow in the metro and across borders.

"I joined Global Chamber® and decide to lead the chapter because I was inspired to help companies grow by providing business services in our metro and across the globe in collaboration with ALL organizations involved with global business," said José. "Our approach helps companies grow here, across metros and across borders, and it's very satisfying to support their success."

José Belfort seeks to support the building process of a great Costa Rica, and to promote an efficient development community for cross-border business. That often happens one member, company and executive at at time.

A member success example in Costa Rica is CEO Jean Ekobo of BioNovelus. The company is a member, and Jean attended a Global Chamber® meeting where he met potential partners from Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Panama and Peru. BioNovelus supplies products that support agricultural businesses especially the production of coffee, because their main product reduces the occurrence of 'coffee rust', which hurts coffee production.

Jean subsequently visited Global Chamber® San José and made even more connections that supported the company's growth.

“Although I’m not able to attend every Global Chamber® event, I know their team can always get me connected,” said Jean Ekobo, CEO of BioNovelus.

“Global Chamber® San José is here to support growth," José said. “We believe in connections - they create opportunities. We also know that learning new and important skills enables executives to reach their goals.
