Most discussions on international trade focus on the movement of physical goods around the globe and supply chain disruptions, and not services. That emphasis on commodities and manufactured products can unfairly ignore key opportunities and success in global trade for service providers. We held a globinar to fill in the gap by celebrating the good work by service exporters, and tips and techniques were shared on how to generate additional revenue.
The amazing Dr. Sarita Jackson was our keynote speaker, and watch the globinar HERE.
More background on Dr. Jackson and the event are HERE.
By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Identify the opportunities available for providers of different services in the global marketplace;
- Name at least one resource for funding services exports;
- Describe the role of technology in enhancing services exports; and
- Outline a basic plan to begin the export process for their particular service.
In other words, service providers will have the tools to start the export process and grow their businesses through global services trade.
Watch the program at the link as Global Chamber Los Angeles board advisor Sarita D. Jackson, PhD shares tips on how to export a service competitively to overseas markets.
Global services have recovered from a decline with the pandemic in 2020. By 2022, global services exports increased by about 15 percent and reached US$7.1 trillion. Wishing all exporters continued success, and be global and UNSTOPPABLE through the resources at Global Chamber.
